Cardinals Tribute Dinner 2016

The unique importance of The Catholic University of America to the Church in the United States was celebrated at the Cardinals Tribute Dinner on June 6, 2016. Cardinals, archbishops, and bishops from across the country gathered on campus with leaders and students of the University as we celebrated our most loyal benefactors and their generous gifts.

At the conclusion of an academic year that included the historic visit of Pope Francis to the Catholic University campus, there was be much to celebrate. Since the Pope's visit, the faculty and students of the University have taken to heart the Pope's challenge to recommit ourselves to our founding mission, and to "keep moving forward". Courses, conferences, and Campus Ministry initiatives in this academic year have explored the teachings of the Holy Father on the family, a human ecology, and a humane economy.

The Board of Trustees and President John Garvey look forward to hosting this gathering of American cardinals and many of Catholic University's most loyal friends and supporters again next year.
