Living @ CUA
Living @ CUA is about more than your room—it is about being part of a dynamic and supportive community where opportunities to engage academically, spiritually and socially are numerous. At CUA, students choose from a broad variety of living options. Most freshman students live in traditional double rooms that offer highly interactive community-based living. In the spring semester, sophomores, juniors and seniors participate in an on line housing lottery system to choose among available living options including traditional rooms, suites with shared bathrooms, and apartments with kitchens. Specially designed living and learning communities are offered primarily for freshman and sophomore students.
More than 70 percent of undergraduate students live on campus. Freshman and sophomore students are required to reside on campus unless approved for commuter status. Many juniors and seniors choose to continue to live on campus and take advantage of the convenient residential support services. Graduate students desiring on-campus housing are generally accommodated in Caldwell Hall and Seton Hall.
In recognition that the majority of graduate students and some juniors and seniors will choose to experience off-campus living, CUA provides an expansive on-line off-campus housing resource center to assist students in making educated choices about off-campus housing.
Dining on campus is a quintessential part of the overall college experience. At CUA, Dining Services offers customer-oriented eateries featuring broad and varied menu selections and is committed to providing quality food, service and value with innovative programs in order to meet the changing needs of students. Student satisfaction is the number-one priority. During the school year, students can choose from various eatery locations including Starbucks Coffee; The Food Court for retail selections including Fusion, Chick-fil-A and Quiznos; The Student Restaurant; Law School Café; Leahy Coffee Kiosk; and the Loft Convenience Store.
